Rainbow’s in Hvar

Just a teenaged traveller sweating on cobble stone road,

Stumbling with a skip and hop and light backpack load,

Buzzing on booze, bikini’s, happiness, parties and fun,

I glimpsed a rocky beach and the sea glistening in the sun,

Just after the rain, boats resting and dreaming of sails,

The sky so blue and clouds blushing and puffing tales,

A rainbow of mystical colours shimmers through the sky,

It leads to a church; its ancient bell tower solid could not lie,

For a moment I felt peace and a divine path to a little luck,

The rainbow was a true path to heaven and I was awe-struck.

Hvar a place on earth so beautiful and fun with the best days
